Andrea Coleman

Andrea graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Lawrence College, Kingston in 1995. After graduation, she worked in a mixed animal practice with a special interest in large animal medicine. In 2005, she was offered the wonderful opportunity to join the team at Prescott Animal Hospital. During this period, she has furthered her skills as a large animal technician visiting farms independantly and assisting with calf herd management as well as vaccination and deworming protocols. In 1996 she was involved with the structuring and lecturing of the surgical laboratory for Veterinary Technicians at Algonquin College on a part-time basis. In December 2009, she was offered the position to manage the Kemptville office of the newly amalgamated large animal practices of Grenville - Dundas and Prescott Animal Hospital now called Rideau - St. Lawrence Veterinary Services. When required, Andrea also assists Dr. Ken Newman, board certified surgeon on farm as his anesthetist for his equine surgical cases. Andrea resides in Hallville with her 11 year old son, Braedan.
