With a passion for cattle right from the beginning, Brian grew up on his family's hobby beef farm in Cobden, Ontario. Brian was an active 4-H member, participating in the Dairy Club for 5 years. While living on the farm, Brian was successful in developing his own small cow/calf herd. His 8 years of working on a local dairy farm also contributed to his knowledge and keen interest in the dairy and beef industry.  Brian obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Physiology. During this time he studied the controlled breeding program "Ovsynch". Brian continued his education at the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 2006 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he worked at the Cobden Animal Centre for a year and a half before joining the team at the Prescott Animal Hospital and Rideau-St. Lawrence Veterinary Services. His special interests include Health Management and Preventative Medicine, as well as Bovine Reproduction. In his spare time Brian enjoys playing hockey, baseball and golf. Brian and his wife Deena reside in Prescott with their dog "Abby" and cat "Frisco".
