John was born and raised on the family beef and horse farm in Escott, Ontario. He obtained his Honours Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Western Ontario in 1990. In 1995 he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he joined the team at the Prescott Animal Hospital as a full time large animal veterinarian. He has since become an owner/partner in the Prescott Animal Hospital/Rideau-St. Lawrence Veterinary Services organization. John has a specialized interest in large animal medicine, equine sports medicine, and equine dentistry. He currently resides in Brockville with his wife Cheryl, and his daughters Alisha and Daron. In his spare time he enjoys boating, playing hockey, skiing, traveling and socializing with friends.
