Ken Newman D.V.M., Diplomate A.C.V.S

Ken brings to our team a tremendous amount of valuable experience as well as a wealth of knowledge. He obtained his Bachelor Of Science in Agriculture with a Major in Animal Science at the University of Guelph. Ken then continued his education at the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Making the most of his days at college, he coached women's hockey as well as played competitively himself, worked on a cash cropping farm, participated in the Foal Watch program at OVC, and traveled. Ken was later accepted for a position as a Large Animal Surgery resident at the Ohio State University where he also completed his Masters of Science. While in Ohio, he met his wife Margaret who is also a veterinarian. In 2006, Ken and Margaret moved to the Kemptville area, where they are currently living with their newborn daughter Elizabeth, their two dogs, "Joey" and Denver", and their African Pigmy hedgehog, "Arnold".  Ken's most recent accomplishment includes passing his Large Animal Surgery board exams, and is now a Board Certified Large Animal Surgeon. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, cooking and antique cars.
