Dr. Ken Newman
Ken brings to our team a tremendous amount of valuable experience as well as a wealth of knowledge. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Major in Animal Science at the University of Guelph, then continued his education at the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 1998. Ken was later accepted for a position as a Large Animal Surgery resident at the Ohio State University where he completed his Masters of Science. He joined our team in 2007 and has since become an owner/partner in the Prescott Animal Hospital/Rideau-St. Lawrence Veterinary Services organization. In 2008, Ken achieved his Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons – Large Animal Surgery. Dr. Newman resides locally with his wife Margaret (also a veterinarian), four children- Elizabeth, Samuel, Andrew and Patrick and their dog, Cricket. Dr. Newman spends the majority of his time in the small animal division of the hospital. He is soft spoken and always aware of the small details within the hospital that ensure our patients and clients leave with a great experience.
